Summer Tennis Sessions

Greetings from wherever you may be – I’ve missed you all 😊
What a spring huh ?!?!  Wow.  So….here’s the deal…..If you’ve received this email, here’s some info you may find useful.

I am holding two free ‘mini’sessions’ this summer. They will be two weeks in length, and are free of charge, especially to all of you that didn’t get to complete the session that was interrupted.

  • FREE Session 1:  June 15 – 28
  • No class week of June 29 -July 5
  • FREE Session 2:  July 6 – 19
  • Classes are at Donnell.  We won’t go indoors if rain.  Just come to another class that week if it rains.

Classes to be offered:
  • RedBall – Mondays 3-4pm
  • OrangeBall Mondays 4-5pm
  • Greenball Fridays 12-1pm
  • Yellowball #5 Fridays 1-2pm
  • Level 1 Adult Learn n Play – Wednesdays 10—11:30am
  • Level 2 Adult Learn n Play – Wednesdays 11:30—1pm

Registration tips:

You need to register through the normal on-line or call-in methods, so watch for the notice from the Y that registration is open.  I don’t know when it will be, but typically its 2 weeks before the session begins, so it will be soon.   Don’t go to the Y to register, there’s too much checking in that has to be done due to covid that it will just be a mess for you trying to get in the building.  Do it on-line or by calling.

Don’t sign up for more than one class and don’t sign up for session #2 until other have a chance to register.   Let someone else have a chance to get enrolled in a class.  I know the system isn’t fool-proof, but as we all have realized in the past 12 weeks, the world’s not ideal either.  If you want to avoid all this un-fairness, just contact the Y and ask for a refund.  I have talked to the top-dawgs and they said credits will be granted for future classes.

There will be another session of classes beginning July 20.  These will also be 2-week sessions that will continue through the end of August.  IF you have been granted a class credit, I’m sure you’ll be able to use it on these sessions .

  • July 20-Aug 2
  • Aug 3 – 16
  • Aug 17 - 30

If you have billing questions, call the downtown Y.  (419) 422 – 4424
If you have a question about classes, email me.
